After initially completing a Bachelor of Laws degree, Michael went on to study an MSc in Corporate Risk Management at the University of Southampton and is a Specialist Member of the Institute of Risk Managers (IRM).
Having worked on a number of high profile reports within the education sector, his initial experience in journalism came as a contributor to a range of media outlets including BBC News 24, BBC Radio 5 Live and Europe 1 Radio.
In October 2010, Michael joined the team at Entrepreneur Country, the UK-based entrepreneurial community, serving as Editor of Entrepreneur Country Magazine and Head of Community until December 2011.
As a part of the senior leadership team, with specific oversight for content and community development, Michael was responsible for building one of the UK's most engaged entrepreneurial communities and fastest growing B2B digital publications.
The Entrepreneur Country community, evolved in to a unique and engaged community of the UK's most high profile entrepreneurs and investors with strategic partners including Barclays Business, IBM, Nabarro, Orange, UKTI and Microsoft.
In February 2012 Michael launched TSP Digital to help SMEs navigate the minefield of social media, community management and content generation and continues to work with some of the UK's leading fast growth technology businesses including Azimo.com, PhotoLegacy.com, LUX Worldwide and Synetec.
In November 2012, he joined WPP marketing agency G2 as Content and Social Media Director, leading agency side social media and editorial strategy for Vodafone's Your Better Business platform and working with clients such as Costa Coffee, Dole and Nectar.
In September 2013 with the merger of G2 and Ogilvy Action to form Geometry Global, Michael became a Social Media Director, in the worlds largest shopper marketing agency.
He continues to actively work with dozens of startups and growth businesses, speaking regularly at industry events and writing for a range of business publications.
